Day 1
Take the Alaska Railroad north today. Weather permitting, views of Mt.McKinley are spectacular along the Susitna River Valley. Arrive in Denali Park this afternoon. Overnight in Denali Park.
Depart: 8:15 am Arrive: 3:45 pm
Day 2
The day is free for the optional shuttle trip into Denali Park. Return to your lodgings at the park entrance this afternoon. Overnight in Denali Park.
Day 3
The morning is free in Denali Park. Board the Alaska Railroad this afternoon for the trip to Fairbanks. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Depart: 3:45 pm Arrive: 8:15 pm
Day 4
The day is free in Fairbanks. Recommended is a visit to the University of Alaska Museum and the optional trip on the Riverboat Discovery. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Day 5
Pick up your rental car in Fairbanks and drive south by car today to Beaver Creek. Overnight in Beaver Creek.
Day 6
Drive south to Skagway today. Overnight in Skagway.
Day 7
Take the White Pass Railroad summit excursion today. Overnight in Skagway.
Day 8
Board the ferry this morning for Juneau. Overnight in Juneau.
Day 9
The morning is free in Juneau. Board the Alaska Ferry to Whittier this afternoon. Overnight on board the ferry.
