Day 1
Anchorage to Denali 242 miles

Take the Alaska Railroad north today. Weather permitting, views of Mt.McKinley are spectacular along the Susitna River Valley. Arrive in Denali Park this afternoon. Overnight in Denali Park.

Depart: 8:15 am     Arrive: 3:45 pm

Day 2
The day is free in Denali Park for the optional shuttle trip. Overnight in Denali Park.

Day 3
Denali to Fairbanks 124 miles

The morning is free in Denali Park for the optional shuttle bus tour. Board the Alaska Railroad this afternoon for the trip to Fairbanks. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Depart: 3:45 pm     Arrive: 8:15 pm

Day 4
The day is free in Fairbanks. Recommended is a visit to the University of Alaska Museum and the optional trip on the Riverboat Discovery. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Day 5
Drive Fairbanks to Beaver Creek. Distance 314 miles. Overnight in Beaver Creek.

Day 6
Drive from Beaver Creek to Skagway today via Whitehorse. Overnight in Skagway.

Day 7
Board ferry in Skagway and sail south. Overnight on board the ferry.

Day 8
The ferry calls in Sitka today. Time permitting the optional tour of town is recommended. Overnight on board the ferry.

Day 9
Visit Petersburg and Wrangell early today, then continue on to Ketchikan. Overnight on board the ferry.

Day 10
The ferry is at sea passing the Queen Charlotte Islands. Overnight on board the ferry.

Day 11
Arrive Bellingham, Washington
