Ketchikan, Alaska to Anchorage, Alaska

If you fly into Ketchikan a day or two early you will have time to see the area before taking the ferry north.

Day 1-Saturday
Board the ferry in Ketchikan and sail north. You will transit the Wrangell Narrows this evening before arriving late tonight into Petersburg. Overnight in Petersburg.

Day 2-Sunday
After arriving early this morning in Petersburg, the rest of the day is free. Recommended is a visit to the Fisk Museum. Overnight in Petersburg.

Day 3-Monday
Board the ferry this morning in Petersburg for the trip to Sitka. Arrive in Sitka late tonight.

Day 4-Tuesday
After arriving early this morning in Sitka the rest of the day is free. Recommended is the Totem Heritage Center and a visit to the Sheldon Jackson Museum. Overnight in Sitka.

Day 5-Wednesday
Take the fast ferry this afternoon to Juneau. Overnight in Juneau.
Depart 1:30 pm Arrive 6:00 pm

Day 6-Thursday
The entire day is free in Juneau. Recommended is a visit to the Alaska State Museum or an optional trip to Tracy Arm Fjord. Overnight in Juneau.

Day 7-Friday
Take the ferry this afternoon along the Lynn Canal to Skagway. Overnight in Skagway.
Depart 3:00 pm Arrive 9:30 pm

Day 8-Saturday
The day is free in Skagway for the trip on the White Pass Railroad. Overnight in Skagway.

Day 9-Sunday
Take the return ferry trip south along the Lynn Canal to Juneau. You will arrive early enough today for connecting flights south to Seattle or north to Anchorage.
